Lesson 11: The Databases Page - Do’s and Don’ts

Bulletproof Notion Work Management System
For Accountants and Bookkeepers
In general, don’t do anything on this page. This is the backbone of the whole system, and if you mess something up in here it could potentially create irreparable damage.
If you’ve been through every lesson by now, then you’ve seen some exceptions to the rule. Especially the previous one on collaboration - the workers pages.

- Don’t add additional views to these databases. Leave that to the linked database views you learned to create previously.
- Don’t move things around. I have them in alphabetical order which should make it easier to find things.
- Don’t try to add a new database in here, until you’ve been through the next lesson.
- Don’t work directly in this area adding any new items to any database. You only increase the chances that you screw something up that you didn’t mean to. You will still be a good person, who made a bad decision.
- Don’t give anyone access to your Databases Page.
- Don’t do anything with databases until you are super comfortable with how they work and connect with one another.

- Do Replace “BPN” with your firm name anywhere you see that. I 100% intended for you to do this.
- Do Click out of this page or close the tab the second you are done doing whatever you came here to do.
- Do make sure you spend some time working with linked databases a couple of lessons back and practice creating a bunch so that you get super comfortable with how they work and connect with one another.
- Do go on to the next lesson where I will teach you how to build and connect a new database from scratch.
UP NEXT: LESSON 12
Databases - How to Create and Link New Databases (with extreme caution)
See ya in the next lesson ;-)
